BEFORE AIRPORT
- Pack smart – You can’t really bring liquids or gels that has more than 100 millilitres in a container when going on a flight. As a precaution, you should transfer your liquids or gels into separate 100 millilitres containers and place them in a clear resealable plastic bag.
- Charge your devices – Before heading to the airport, ensure that your electronic devices, especially your smartphone is fully charged. This is to make sure that you won’t have a difficult time at the airport finding power points.
- Dress comfortably – Wear comfortable clothes and shoes because you will be spending long hours in the flight. Consider bringing the appropriate clothing according to the weather in the country you’re visiting too.
AT THE AIRPORT
- Arrive early – Arrive at least 2-3 hours before your departure time. This will allow ample time for you to check-in luggage, go through security screening and you don’t need to rush.
- Stay informed – Always keep yourself informed and aware about your flight status, any gate changes, or sudden delays.
- Be mindful of security procedures – Follow security procedures to expedite the screening process. Remove your shoes, belt, and any metal objects before passing through the security checkpoint. Be prepared to place your electronic devices in separate bins for scanning.
